Oceanafest
Top chefs from around the world will be competing live at the prestigious WA Oceanafest.
International teams from South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, Singapore, the Phillipines and Australia have confirmed their intentions to take on reigning Oceanafest champions Hong Kong at the 2011 WA Oceanafest to be held in conjuction with Fine Food Western Australia.
"This will be the biggest international culinary competition ever held in the Pacific region and will place Perth on the culinary map", said Patrick O'Brien, WA Oceanafest director. The competition organised by the WA Australian Culinary Federation will also see individual competitors from all across Australia and overseas compete in the festival of culinary arts. The competition will also have increased categories for front of house competitors and the butchery trades.
